The Howard Leight Impact Sport Shooter's Premium Slim Line Electronic Earmuffs automatically shut off loud impulse noise to a safe 82db while amplifying conversation and range commands with one single volume control knob. The noise reduction level is 22 decibel which is the highest rating for slim line ear muffs.
A single control knob allows you to select the volume that you want to amplify to a safe level. The earmuffs amplify ambient sound to 82 decibels. (Amplification automatically shuts off at 82 decibels.) You can switch off, and the earmuffs will perform like passive earmuffs. These earmuffs will dampen impulse noises (like a hand clap, a gunshot noise, and the sound of a loud lawnmower or a saw), so your ears will not be impacted by those impulse noises.
There is an automatic 4 hour shut-off which helps to maximise the battery life, in case the unit is left on by mistake. Unit is water resistant. Its convenient folding design provides for easy storage.
The earmuffs also have an AUX jack which allows it to be connected to MP3 players, CD players and scanners. They are also great for air travel.
